Hey people!
I’m going to join the craze about the GC Marathon by running it. It starts on the 1 st July at 7:30 am. The Marathon is a 42. 195 km long meditation about keeping on going. Its origin is in ancient Greece where a mighty messenger soldier Pheidippides run from The Battle of Marathon to Athens to deliver his message. I still have vivid memories about how painful it was for me last year when I run it with my father. Both of us were the very newbies to this experience.
The legendary Czech long distance runner Emil Zatopek once said: “If you want to win something, run 100 meters. If you want to experience something, run a marathon.”




That is crazy ~:-) I walked 10km yesterday~
Walking is very healthy. Running a marathon can be healthy if your body is prepared for this kind of psychophysical strain. In this exercise your brain releases hormones called endorphins which have painkilling effect and also effect on your limbic system in your brain which is responsible for emotions – you feel like a mighty hero! I wrote this mainly for other people, cause you Char know this very well.
Majority of the people are able to run such a distance – it has to be done step by step by accomplishing smaller goals first.
